Giant ants attack scientists on the run, I was gripped with
fear! My first memory of film, I was four years old. This moment
sparked a love for film that has lasted to this day. An obsession
that led me to art and film school where I would begin to learn
the many aspects of film production. My instinct was to
experience as much of the inner workings of a production before
becoming a film director. In that long discovery process I was
able gain invaluable skills that I now use as a writer and director.
From, storyboarding, lighting design, and special effects design,
just to list a few. These skills allow me to communicate and work
with a production in a intuitive way. And as I mastered the
mechanics of film making I began to realize my true passion,
story telling. Now that I knew how the giant ant was made, I
wanted to be able tell that ant what to do through writing and
directing. Finding my focus as an artist is why I now solely
pursue writing and directing as a career.
